Monday 4/8 Talladega Natl Forest, AL – Blackwater Florida
We woke to a wet tent, potatoes, and Tajin.
Today was a day for driving, so we started to drive. At a gas station outside Montgomery two things occurred to me. Firstly, that the greatest premiere event in TV History was less than a week away. This demanded the setting up of cable TV’s best game – Fantasy Game of Thrones. Secondly, our loved ones wish to track us at all times, and this demanded we finally publish our blog. Both these things required wifi, so a stop at Montgomery public library seemed in order. This, as it turned out, was a great choice. In the words of my lover it was cute as all heck.
We enjoyed the Adolescent section of the library for a few hours. Ana attempted to help someone with their compute issues. Said Someone (S.S) told Ana she looked like she was in Middle School. S.S was twelve themselves. We were kicked out of the adolescent section with apprehension, “how old are you guys?”, as swaths of after-school children were ushered in by fly suit guy.
We tipped and tapped and left before any illegal parking was discovered.
We spent the remainder of the day with our favorite Slug. I was surprised to find that Alabama is quite pretty. I was unsurprised to find that Dissect, a long form thematic analysis of To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar, is really entertaining, and that pizza remains good.
We slept in Blackwater Florida, a free state park named for a river which, thanks to some man encouraged run off, is totally black.
